In learning Fab, there are levels of learning that a person will go through to solve problems and achieve mastery of processes. This is kind of similar to the levels that you encounter while learning and playing a video game. As with a game, you can drop back a level, firm up your skills, and then move back up in a more strong way.
These projects are pretty basic. By doing these projects, you will be able to focus on the relatively repetitive tasks that you will need to master safely and effectively to work on this particular tool. Emphasis in these projects is more on the mechanics of 'how you do it' rather than 'here are a bunch of creative things you can do with it'. It is possible to do these projects many times and come up with a unique and innovative result each time. As you do these projects, you will get faster and more competent at using the tool. You can drop down to this level project at any time in your work with the Fab tools.
HelloSticker - Make a sticker of your name, cut the sticker, put it on transfer tape, put it on some object.
HelloSign - Make a sign with words engraved on it using a v bit or ball nose bit.
Hello Block - Use Sketchup to make a physical model cut on the mill using MicroMillProcess
in these projects, you will focus more on creation of slightly more complex things that are ouput on the machines. Combining more involved designs with the earlier basic steps is a lot of what happens here.
